Enrichment

We know that young people need both a strong academic foundation and well-developed character strengths to succeed in education and the world beyond. That’s why we are committed to delivering an extensive enrichment programme in close partnership with our community providers. Through our extended school day we are able to guarantee participation for all, no matter what their starting point.

Our extended curriculum allows all pupils to experience a range of exciting activities including journalism, reading, learning a language, gaming, first aid, photography, debating, sporting activities along with student leadership opportunities. The enrichment provision is wide and varied, and something we are continuously expanding in order to provide more and more opportunities for our students.

It is important to us that each pupil has the freedom to develop his or her interests and skills through the highest quality provision and that this should be provided without additional cost. Our extensive programme has been carefully planned to provide a variety of opportunities throughout the school year, some of which will lead to nationally recognised qualifications like First aid and the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Our enrichment programme is another of the many ways in which we help students foster the character strengths that are essential for their own success and well-being - and another way in which we empower them to express their voice to improve the world around them.
